    Hello everyone, This is my first post and so I say hello to all of you! Even though lap band surgery has been a wish of mine for some time I could not pursue it for insurance reasons until recently. I went through orientation in July and was notified in late November that I was cleared for surgery. My surgery is scheduled for January 3, 2011. This is truly a journey down a road to a healthier life for me and I am so much looking forward to feeling and looking healthier. Tomorrow I begin my Optifast supplements for a little over a week before surgery. My surgeon is Dr. Sloan in Ft. Wayne, IN. I have read some of the comments on this forum and look forward to learning much from all of you that are on this journey as well. Any advice from all of you experienced ones regarding the first week after surgery?
