  1. Pillows are a must! When I got out of surgery and was able to walk, a nurse gave me one to put on my stomach to help me sit down and get up and also for the ride home as others were saying. It helps a lot. But I didn't know what to bring, so I didn't have one, but they were nice enough to let me keep it. Good luck with your surgery! You'll do great I don't think you have anything to worry about!
  2. I just made this tonight, it came out really well, I didn't eat it though since I just got my band filled, but my mom and nephew loved ittt! Thanks for sharing!
  3. So I was banded Dec. 27th, 2010... I can't believe I can actually say that I am banded, it's an amazing feeling! I've been doing great, that long 6 month period of me having to wait and go through stupid supervised diets and all of that finally paid off, I so far have lost 27 pounds. It's not as hard as I thought it was going to be. I am staying away from all the foods that I don't need. And trying my best to stay with the foods that I need. Trying to get all the liquids I need. I get my first fill on the 26th, so in about 2 weeks, and that's exciting in itself. All the hard times where people were eating in front of me, or whatever, I pulled through by myself. It's hard it really is, but if I can do it, anyone can! I can't wait to get out of the 200's, it's going to take a few more months, but I just can't wait! I know it's going to be an amazing feeling!!
  4. Thank you for all the positivity and support! And to Crossroads, I agree we should monitor each others progress and help each other since we are right there on the same boat!! I too had to do the psyc evaluation, it didn't take as long as I thought it would though, which was good.
  5. So I have the date for my surgery!! I have to do the liquid diet first for two weeks, which starts on the ninth of this month! Surgery is scheduled for the 27th at 11:30. I am so so excited, but also very nervous! I've waited for more than 6 months for this to happen! (I had to do a 6 month supervised diet for the insurance company, it was a pain, but they are paining for 80% of it, and that's a pretty good chunk) Well I hope to talk to some of you soon, I'm new to this site, so if anyone wants to talk or whatever, I'm here! -Kelsey
