  1. Thank you! Positive thoughts your way as well!
  2. Oh gosh, that must be really hard. I'm on day 4 and my pain is worse today in the muscle behind the big incision. Getting up and sitting down is so hard.
  3. I think it's like water pipes that have been empty a while, our system is getting out the extra air while it starts back up!
  4. Getting up is the worst. Hang in there!
  5. I came home and immediately started miralax, then the next day miralax and colace, the third day miralax, colace and milk of magnesia. Was a rough day, but the third day took care of it. Don't wait any longer!
  6. Congrats! Take it easy and pamper your new baby tummy!
  7. Sounds like you are doing great! I also feel like could drink "too much" so I am trying to make sure not to do more than 2 swallows and then wait 15 minutes or so. If I drink too fast, I get a pain in my sternum until that little burp comes up. So weird, I think I'm the inky one not eager to start food! Lol
  8. I insisted on taking the dilaudid home with me but I still have terrible pain when getting up. It was much better controlled in the hospital!
  9. The dry mouth is so hard! I would take sips and just hold it I n my mouth. I was able to have water right away. Coildnt imagine not having anything. My lips even stuck to my teeth it was so dry. Glad your surgery is done and you're feeling well!
  10. I came home and immediately started on MiraLAX. Second day home, MiraLAX and colace. Today, MiraLax, colace and milk of magnesia. That finally work and was no joke clearing out. If you're not taking anything, I would. A lot of folks end up in the ER needing help.
  11. Thank you so much. Ke for standing in! Good luck to the December 17th folks!
  12. I was already on a PPI before and I sure noticed I hadnt had it the next day! I'm on protonix 40.
  13. I am so sorry you are having such a rough time. I may be way off the mark, but I thought someone once posted about xanax or similar to calm the stomach spasms. None of the flavor drops help soften the Water like the Mio, dasani or a bit if crystal light? Um 3 days out and although I can drink, I still felt dehydrated so I had some straight regular Gatorade, not G2. I figure if I'm getting no calories, then the 50 from regular Gatorade isn't going to hurt. I hope they are able to get your system calmed down so you can move forward past this stage!
  14. I used Care Credit. My cost was around $19,000.
  15. I go to "my tickers" and hit edit then it will let you edit the different parts of it. That's how I do it from my computer. Not sure how to do it on my phone.
  16. Agreed. This is a support thread. We want to support evetone through the good, bad and the ugly. Please don't be afraid to post! You could be helping someone else going through something similar. I hope you are able to find something that works for you soon.
  17. Andrew posted in his other thread that he is out of surgery and doing well.
  18. Good luck! Positive thoughts your way!
  19. Positive thoughts for tomorrow's sleevers! Hoping for a smooth recovery for everyone! Positive thoughts to Andrew. Hoping is bleed is found and fixed easily. My recovery is going better than expected. I hope the same for everyone!
  20. My surgeon said it almost doesn't matter what size it is because you don't know the surgeons technique. He said some go up right against it and some pull away from it some.
  21. I agree, very lucky. I had 3 shakes and 2 snacks like unsweetened applesauce or yogurt. It was a wonderful time to get focused and to get hour head in the game before surgery rather than trying to deal with physical and mental together.
  22. I don't have a pureed phase. I have one week full liquids, 3 weeks soft foods and at 5 weeks anything. I probably won't advance that quickly but I'm allowed to.
  23. I don't do artificial sweeteners, so I didn't like it. Broth was ok. Crystal light was ok but they kept bringing me lemon and my mouth was already so dry, the tartness made it worse.
  24. My trays had 1 bowl broth, 1 popsicle, 1 jello, 1 bottle of water with packet of crystal light. I hated all of it but tried a bit of each to see what I could tolerate.
  25. I had to shower in the morning and make sure to use clean towels afterwards and no products. My skin hates the winter so very flaky here too!
