Hey Son
Besides being a full time medic, I am a 2nd Dan black belt in Tae Kwon do and teach classes to all age groups 3-5 times a week. I will tell you that though I have no pain in performing martial arts a kick or punch directly to the port site does sting a little, Though there is no way to damage the band or the port you can and usually will have some tenderness at the port especially in sparring. That being said i have learned to block a lot better
I am just waiting to get cleared to full exercise this next week and will be starting P90X within the week. The caloric needs of the program as you know are much higher then the band will allow so I will be supplementing protien shakes to ensure that enough protien is taken in. Can't wait to get started though.
Man, how did you do it. I am getting banded on the 8th of february and am looking forward to it. Do you focus mainly on weights or are you doing cardio as well?
