Powdered Protein for Clear Phase
Does anyone have a powdered unflavored Protein that can be used during the Clear phase that is not bad tasting. I am hearing the Isopure powder is pretty bad. Has anyone tried Inspire? or any GNC brands that work?

Any Regrets?
Wow.. such great advise.. such inspiration.. I feel better.. I just see things black and white.. like.. you can eat everything .. or you don't eat anything...... and I have to think moderation will be how things will be.. I think the band helps keep you feeling full. I seem to always be hungry.. now.. so .. I think I am on my way.. I will let you all know my date.. I think very soon.. all my pre tests are done..

Any Regrets?
I am getting banded in a month or so.. and I am a "foodie" I love to cook.. love to eat.. all that. But I also love being thinner and feeling better . I need to do this for my health..I know it. Anyone regret the band? I keep wondering how I will feel after I get this band.. will I just be very unhappy? I know losing the weight will feel wonderful... I just have these unsure feelings... I worry.. :frown:

Protein Drinks that will not make me sick
I am trying shakes pre op and had the Pure protein (worldwide protein) and had very bad "runs" all day... I wonder if anyone had this experience and if they know what is going on... Maybe it is the Lactose? Can anyone reccomend protein that is good that will not cause this side effect?

do things change?
This really does make me feel better... It sounds like you learn your limits but that for the most part you can eat most things.. in small amounts and in certain ways. It is all such a big change.. but being fat my whole life and feeling bad.. is just not an option for me anymore... thanks.. you are all super..

do things change?
I hate the thought of never eating bread again.. and pasta.. my question is do things change? will you be able to eat some of these things when you are at your goal...? do the loosen the band? just wondering..

Pittsburgh Banders
That is interesting.. do you miss those things you talked about? Are you able to still enjoy food but only in a more sensible way? that is the question... I guess I think I will never "eat again?" ..

Pittsburgh Banders
Hi all, I am thinking of having the Band by Dr. Eid down at magee. I just am very concerned that I will hate it and be depressed... I really need to lose and know that.. but hope to be able to have "smaller amounts" of what I love... I am a "foodie" as in I love to cook and am very italian when it come to this. I am worried that I will not be able to eat anything I like ever again or be able to cook and enjoy cooking.. I know that is how I got here... but... Anyone have this experience? and also.. anyone have Dr. Eid? I know someone who had him and loved him..

so scared and don't know what to do
I am so overweight and I have diabeties, sleep apnea and back pain.. I must lose.. tried everything. Lap band seems so hard to do.. is it really so hard to get used to ? I so need to lose this ....I can't get the nerve to put myself through the pain of it... if anyone has any encouragment or advise let me know..

Need encouragment!
Can you tell me.. would you do the Lap Band again? I also want to find out if the "fills" are painful to get? they put a needle in there? Is the change in eating hard to adjust to ? all that chewing? I have been through some nasty medical stuff in my life.. I am a breast cancer survivor.. chemo... all that jazz, But the thought of a needle in my stomach makes me flinch! But I really need to change.. If I don't lose.. I am looking at lots of health problems just getting worse... I am sort of bummed out just now... If anyone can give me a boost I would love that... thanks.. Nina
