Well I guess if your in the North region you are required a 6 month diet. I am shocked that tricare isn't uniformed through out!

Did anyone require a 6 month supervised diet with tricare prime?

Did you have it at a MTF or civilian? I did call today and the person said that it isn't tricare that requires it, the surgeon's office is saying yes. Does the different regions of tricare prime remote have different guidelines?

I just received a letter from the clinic stating that Tricare Primes require a 6 month documented "diet"..I have looked to see if any other post needed this but didn't see any. Did anyone else have to do this?

Newbie to the whole process..thanks to everyone for their words of wisdom. I have finally come to terms with my decision to go forward and pursue the LAP-BAND® surgery. So, my questions are 1. Any one with Tricare Prime Remote? We are at least 2 hrs from the nearest MTF. 2. Does having emergency gall bladder removal a co morbidity? Thanks again!
