  1. Thanks for all of your responses, it helps me with the fear of drinking too much. I was at a support group and the leader told me to sip only a mouthful every 1-2 minutes or else I will strecth my band. Now I know I can guzzle if Im thirsty enough to guzzle, especially since I do not have a fill yet. Also thanks for giving me the advice on searching for my disease so that I could get some support for those bandsters..RELIEVED....
  2. I was banded on 2/23/11..I have a medical condition called Psuedotumor Cerebri, and I am taking a direutic for this disease. However, I am always thirsty and I cant seem to just sip water, It seems that I am guzzling the water down. I know this is not the right approach if I do not want my band to stretch. However, I havent had my first fill yet and I do not feel any restrictions. I can eat and drink almost anything I want. Can someone please share their experiences with diuretics and these screaming hunger pangs...

  5. I had my initial consult in October, I had psych eval, dr's talk, watched emmi online, did several support groups, talked to the nurtritionist, had some of my preops done. Finally got an approval from my insurance company. I received a call from the Dr.'s Office yesterday and they told me they had good news, they told me I was scheduled for my procedure on 12/5/2010. (this was the earliest appointment they had) I am furious, can someone please give me advice to calm my nerves and temper.
  6. My initial appt with this Dr. was in October. I have did everything that I was suppose to do concerning getting ready for the procedure. My insurance finally approved the procedures two weeks ago, when I got a call from the scheduling department at the Dr.'s Office, she told me her next available surgery date is December 5, 2011. Have anyone ever heard of this. I told her that I could lose weight on my own if I had to wait nearly a year for the surgery...Anyone have any suggestions, please help...
