arkansas medicaid

I currently have arkansas medicaid and called my medicaid office today and was told that lap band was not covered... Are there any doctors that do take arkansas medicaid or is there a way to get this procedure done with medicaid.... I dont understand why arkansas medicaid wil pay for the gastric bypass but not lap band...Could someone please help me out.....Thanks j:help:
