Ohp Trillium

Ohp Trillium doesn't cover surgery unless you have type 2 diabetes. The lady at my surgery center is going to try to get Ohp to take into consideration that I am taking metformin and have prediabetes. Has anyone been in the same situation? If so how did it turn out? Thx!
