Does anyone know if BSCA uses the weight from before the 6 month supervised period, or after? I'm getting started at a gastric bypass center and they told me that I'd need to do 6 months of nutritional check ins, but I didn't get a clear answer (in hindsight) regarding whether my starting weight would be now, before I go through that program, or after.
I'm worried that I will lose the few pounds that qualify me for coverage, but I do want to totally commit to the program! Does anyone have experience in this? Or advice? I wasn't able to get an answer from my insurance company yet because I've only just started this momentously exciting journey!
