protein shake help.

Hello all! I am being sleeved on Dec 20. On day 4 of preop diet and am not loving the protein shake thing (like anyone does) but I ordered a bunch of different kinds to try, including the nectar sample pack. What I am wondering, is how do you all make your shakes? I've got plenty of flavors to play with, sugar free torani, truvia...what really gets me is the foam. So far I've just been blending them. I thought the nectar might be better than the creamy kind because it goes in water and is fruity instead...so any ideas? How do you stop the foam? If I just throw the foam away am I throwing away plus of the protein too, or is the foam just air and not much protein? Help!

I like Premier as it is not as sweet as others like Muscle Milk and Pure Protien. I'm not big on the powders. Used them alot when I was trying to lose weight the old fashioned way. Tried them all' date=' hated them all.[/quote']

Where did you buy the premier? Today is my first day of preop and I'm a little overwhelmed with all the choices!

I use the bullet too, but I put in about 3/4 cup of crushed ice, then skim milk and the protein powder on top. After blending, it's just like a milk shake. No foam.

this is how I do it too.. but will say that although there is no foam, there has definitely been air incorporated into my drink as it has about 1/3 more volume than it did before blending. It tastes yummy but if you can't tolerate any air, then this might not be the method for you.

Also, Johns Hopkins nutritionists did not recommend Muscle Milk due to lead levels - they said it was ok to drink one in a pinch but not every day.

Does the powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury Protein taste as good as the nectar ? Also is it light on the stomach ?

Personally, everything by Unjury except for the chicken Soup flavor is terrible.

Can I ask are the Body By Vi shakes acceptable?

Yeah I would like to know about body by vi too..I have used those a few months ago just to diet and they are pretty good

I used body by vi for months prior to surgery but its soy Protein and whey is muvh better and it has less protein per serving.. I like vanilla eas whey protein.. I bought a huge bag from Sams club snd its great with 28 Proteins per scoop. I put a little bit of pulp free orange juice for a creamsicle taste.. Now what to do with my 8 bags of body by vi shakes??? Lol

I actually like my protein shake. It's called Hydro Whey and I use the chocolate flavor. It's delicious and the only flavor that I can stomach so far.

An easy way to get rid of the foam is to put 2-3 drops of baby anit gas drops in your shake. It breaks up the bubbles just like it would in your stomach.
