post op diet - how many days/weeks

It seems every dr is all over the map on how soon you can have non-liquid foods post op. I am only 10 days out but for the last 3 days, I have had 3-4 bites of "mushy" food, once or twice a day. The little bit of food in my stomach actually makes it feel more settled. I've always been that way - all liquid and I feel queasy.

Now I'm worrying maybe I better back off. I didn't get surgery to ruin it all. Then I noticed some drs, let their patients eat after a week or so.

Can anyone explain the different rules of thought and reasoning behind them?

I had sleeve plication ...
