Dr. Peeter Soosaar, Bariatric Surgeon Peeter Soosaar, MD, FACS has dedicated his professional career to caring for patients in North Carolina, completing his residency in the Western area of North Carolina. As a highly-skilled and experienced bariatric surgeon at Mission Health in Asheville, he is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). Dr. Soosaar’s philosophy about patient care is that he treats his patients the same way that he would want his family treated. He earned his medical degree at LSU Health Sciences Center School of Medicine at New Orleans and completed his residency at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Soosaar is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES). He is affiliated with Mission Hospital and Asheville Specialty Hospital.
