Dr. Amit Trivedi, Bariatric Surgeon Amit Trivedi, MD is a highly regarded bariatric surgeon practicing at Advanced Laparoscopic Associates in Paramus, NJ. He is the attending surgeon and chairman in the Department of Surgery at Hackensack University Medical Center. He earned his medical degree and Bachelor of Science (B.S.) at Stony Brook Medical Center and completed his residency and internship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. His fellowship was earned at Hackensack University Medical Center and he also completed a fellowship in Advanced Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgery. Dr. Trivedi is board-certified by the American College of Surgeons (ACS) and is certified for the da Vinci Surgical System and the Lap-Band System. He has participated in research studies and has authored numerous abstracts and publications. As a pioneer in laparoscopic surgery, he has authored a book chapter on the subject.
