About Alexander D Abkin
Dr. Abkin has more than 12 years of experience in advanced laparoscopic surgery and 11 years experience in laparoscopic weight loss surgery.
Dr. Abkin was among 30 bariatric surgeons who were selected to train other bariatric surgeons in placement of the REALIZE BAND in the United States and was the first to implant the band in the state of New Jersey in October, 2007.
Dr. Abkin was the FIRST surgeon on the EAST COAST to offer SINGLE SITE GASTRIC BYPASS in 2009.

Dr.Abkin was named in TOP DOCS edition of New Jersey Monthly Magazine for the years of 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.
