Dr. Mark Kozar is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with Renown Regional Medical Center. Dr. Kozar has 16 years of experience performing Lap-Band and other weight loss surgery. Currently 32 of our members have Dr. Kozar listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.

Mark D. Kozar, MD, FACS attended medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC. He completed a research fellowship and residency at Stanford University, Stanford, California. Dr. Kozar is an active member of American Society for Bariatric Surgery, Society for Laparoscopic Surgeons, American Society of Breast Disease, American Medical Association, Nevada Medical Association, Washoe County Medical Society, and Reno Surgical Society. He is one of the founders of Western Bariatric Institute, and has been an advocate for weight loss surgery since its inception in 2000. Dr. Kozar is part of one of the most comprehensive bariatric programs in the United States, and performs three types of minimally procedures.
