About Brad Winterstein

Dr. Winterstein began working at Methodist Hospital in general surgery in 2002. His areas of expertise include: Advanced laparascopy, bariatric surgery, single incision laparoscopy, complex hernia repair, laparascopic bariatric surgery and open duodenal switch procedures. Dr. Winterstein is board certified in general surgery. He graduated from the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) where he completed the General Surgery Five Year Program. He received numerous honors from UNMC including: The Association of Academic Surgery Student Research Award; Jeanette I. Sasek Fund Scholarship; Gustav I. Cobb Scholarship; and Komarek Charitable Trust Scholarship. He is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons.
