Darrell Doucette, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board-certified bariatric and general surgeon at Alabama Surgical Associates in Huntsville, Alabama. Dr. Doucette is dedicated to helping people achieve their weight loss goals in order to live healthier and more active lives. He is experienced in a range of bariatric procedures, including gastric bypass, gastric sleeve, duodenal switch, gastric banding, and revision surgery. He also offers non-surgical weight loss solutions, such as gastric balloon and endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty (ESG). Additionally, Dr. Doucette performs general surgery procedures including laparoscopic and robotic anti-reflux surgery, hernia repair and solid organ surgery. Dr. Doucette received his medical degree from the University of Massachusetts, where he also completed a residency in general surgery as well as a fellowship in minimally invasive and bariatric surgery. He is is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS) and is certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Doucette is also a diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM), a certification which distinguishes comprehensive knowledge of obesity medicine.
