I completed my undergraduate years at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and went on to earn my medical degree from Ponce School of Medicine in Ponce, Puerto Rico. I received my general surgery training at St Luke’s University Hospital in Bethlehem, PA.
After residency, I completed the Advanced Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.
As an active member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), I am a part of the ASMBS Clinical Issues Committee and have presented research in topics related to laparoscopic and bariatric surgery nationally.
I am a board certified general surgeon, and as a metabolic and bariatric surgeon, I specialize in laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy, laparoscopic gastric bypass, revisional bariatric surgery, and foregut surgery such as hiatal hernia repair, surgery for gastroesophageal reflux (GERD), for peptic ulcer disease and for achalasia.
At St. Luke’s Weight Management Center, we offer a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of obesity and obesity-related metabolic diseases both medically and surgically through current, data-driven and proven strategies. We look forward to serving you and achieving a healthier you!
