Eric Schlesinger, MD
About Eric Schlesinger
The Board profile records that he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in May 1980 and completed a general surgery residency at the USC/Los Angeles County Medical Center from 1980 to 1985.
As of July 2012, the website of his practice, Surgical Weight Loss Solutions at Tempe St. Luke's Hospital, described him as a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, and as medical director of that practice and of the Bridges Center for Surgical Weight Management at Tempe St. Luke's. It listed adjustable gastric banding, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, biliopancreatic diversion with duodenal switch, and vertical sleeve gastrectomy as his procedures, and said he had attended Rutgers College and served as an assistant clinical professor of surgery at the University of Southern California. The Bridges Center website, as archived in May 2011, stated that Tempe St. Luke's Hospital received its bariatric surgery Center of Excellence designation in 2010 with the cooperation of Dr. Schlesinger and Dr. Kurt Sprunger, and his practice page described him as a Center of Excellence bariatric surgeon under the Surgical Review Corporation program of that period. BariatricPal was not able to confirm that designation against a current Surgical Review Corporation listing.
By July 2013 the practice had been renamed East Valley Surgical Specialists, and its website said it was continuing follow-up care for Dr. Schlesinger's bariatric patients. A July 2015 video published by Physicians Group of Arizona presented him as a physician with Arizona Wound Center. Tempe St. Luke's Hospital now operates as HonorHealth Tempe Medical Center; former patients seeking surgical records may wish to start there.

About this directory profile
What does a directory listing mean?
A listing helps you find practice information and member experiences. It does not establish clinical quality, current credentials, or availability.
How do I use member reviews?
Read the date and the details of each experience. Reviews are personal accounts. They do not predict your results or replace a clinical consultation.
What if a detail is missing or outdated?
Ask the practice for current information. Use “Suggest an update” on the surgeon profile to report a correction to BariatricPal.
