Michael K Fishman

Michael K. Fishman, M.D. is a board-certified bariatric surgeon based in Sellersville, PA. Dr. Fishman currently serves as the director of the Grand View Health Bariatric & Metabolic Institute, which is a comprehensive weight-loss program aimed at helping those living with obesity and related issues on their journey to a healthy, active lifestyle. Within this program, he leads a team made up of clinical professionals ranging from a physician assistant, registered dietitian, behavioral therapist and others, who all have a hand in educating and guiding patients through surgical and non-surgical weight-loss options. Dr. Fishman obtained a B.A. in Biology from Pennsylvania State University and his M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine in Philidelphia, PA. He completed his General Surgery Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philidelphia, PA and continued his training as a Fellow in Minimally Invasive and Bariatric Surgery at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Fishman's clinical activity focuses on Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery along with Advanced Laparoscopic General Surgery, including both standard and single incision laparoscopic surgery. He has a special interest in Foregut Surgery which includes the surgical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux and paraesophageal hernias and achalasia.
