Dr. Tymitz completed his residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati. He received additional specialized training in weight loss surgery at Johns Hopkins University as a clinical fellow in minimally invasive, robotic and bariatric surgery. He received his medical degree from the University of Toledo. Dr. Tymitz is board certified in general surgery. He is a member of several professional organizations including the American College of Surgeons, the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, and the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
