Dr. Jeffrey Strain is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with Englewood Hospital. Dr. Strain has 16 years of experience performing Lap-Band and other weight loss surgery. Currently 27 of our members have Dr. Strain listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.

Dr. Strain, originally from the Bronx, underwent both medical school and residency in Cleveland Ohio at the University Hospitals of Cleveland. Upon completion of his residency in General Surgery, He undertook a fellowship "down under" in Perth Australia in Endocrine Surgery. This was followed by two years of surgery in the Public Health system in Western Australia. In 2000, he returned to the United States where he was a clinical fellow in laparoscopic colorectal surgery at the Mt. Sinai School of Medicine with Dr. Jeffrey Milsom. The next year he embarked in practice at Morristown Memorial Hospital. In 2004, Dr. Strain decided to devote a greater portion of his practice to Bariatric Surgery and moved to Seattle Washington. He returns to Englewood NJ and the Northern New Jersey Area with an interest in promoting a comprehensive yet personalized center of excellence in Bariatric Surgery.
