Dr. Matthew Metz is a bariatric and weight loss surgeon located in and affiliated with Rose Medical Center & Rose Surgical Center. Dr. Metz has 27 years of experience performing Lap-Band and other weight loss surgery. Currently 79 of our members have Dr. Metz listed as their Lap Band Surgeon.
Fellowship trained at the Cleveland Clinic (a world famous bariatric program), Dr. Metz is known for his technical skill, kind demeanor, and innovative thinking. He is the first surgeon in Colorado to perform the laparoscopic duodenal switch, and is known to have the lowest bariatric surgery complication rate in the region. In addition to the duodenal switch, Dr. Metz performs the lap gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy, band, plication, revisions, and advanced endoscopic procedures.
