Bariatric Surgery with Dr. Albert Chen I decided to go into surgery after being exposed to some surgical fields in college and medical school. I really like the hands-on approach and the ability to directly impact a patient’s care. It is rewarding to me to have the relationships I build with patients and their families afterwards. When a patient first walks into my office, many times they're very apprehensive. They don't know me and they have a lot of questions and maybe a little bit of fear. I like to take the time to really get to know them to really give them a sense of what's out there for them as not to lose hope and to know that we're going to do everything we can to help you. -Albert Chen, MD Dr. Chen routinely performs the Lap-Band and Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy (VSG) bariatric surgery procedures.
