Dr. Castro is a bariatric surgeon with 17 years of surgical experience who is Board-Certified and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has performed over 1900 weight loss surgeries. His practice, New Beginnings Surgical Group is dedicated exclusively to the care of morbidly obese patients. Dr. Castro is proficient in laparoscopic surgery and utilizes it to perform the Adjustable Gastric Band (Lap-Band® & the REALIZE Band), the Gastric Bypass and the Gastric Sleeve.
