About Michael Steines

Dr. Michael Steines is board certified in general surgery with continuing advanced training in laparoscopic bariatric surgery. He completed medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. He is an experienced bariatric surgeon who performs laparoscopic gastric bypass, adjustable gastric banding and vertical sleeve gastrectomy as well as revisions. Dr. Steines is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery and a Member of the American Society of Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. He serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Surgery with the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, and is on the Board of Directors for the St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
