Hi! I am new here. I just sent in my deposit and booked my flights for my Dec 18 lap band surgery with Dr. Ortiz. I am not really scared, more excited than anything...i am sure that will fluctuate. I live on Vancouver Island. I am so excited to be a part of this thread! I really learned a lot from this webiste...thanks to you all! Good luck everyone! After 25 years of yo yo dieting I have decided I cant lose it and gain it back anymore. I have decided to go to Dr. Ortiz in TJ and my surgery date is Dec 18, 2006. I think my strongest emotions now are excitement and shame. It will be a long journey, but this seems like a great place to record it. Thank you to fellow members who have posted about your experience, it made my decision a lot easier. I felt like I was the only person in Canada who was going to go to Mexico to have this done!
