  1. I am a 20 yr old starting my last year in college and I am getting banded! I am studying overseas this year and flying to the US. I will be landing exactly a week before surgery and getting my first checkups the next day (Im a self pay- didnt meet BMI- so it goes faster...) Im a bit nervous but being in a different country helps- I dont need to think about it until I fly in. Im hoping and praying everything will be okay and I am on the way to a healthier better life!! Anyone with any info on the drinks I can get internationally for the 2 weeks before liquid diet would be appreciated... Yours truly, PhDGirl

  4. I am younger then you- I think its a good idea- we get the chance to start our lives over much earlier in the game:)
  5. Yikes!!! I never heard that- has this really happened to people???
  6. Hey guys- I am flying in, and having all my exams 6 days before my surgery. Some quick questions- first, liquid diet- HELP!!! will I be starving (its not the clear liquid but anything you can get up a straw..)? Does anyone know where I can find out what I can buy for protein shakes out of the US, or in general? Is it scary? Should I make my last vows and be really good the next couple of weeks? What do you feel like after surgery? So good to find a whole bunch of people doing the same thing! Good luck to you all:cool:
