  1. That is so fantastic! Thanks for telling us here. I am so excited to be you in 9 months, 2 weeks. Congratulations!
  2. Thank you! My sentiments exactly! Look at you! Wow. I would love to do what you have done in a year. Congratulations! And thanks again!
  3. I am new to this website and new to Lap-Band. I am here because I am the heaviest I have ever been and this has caused me much unhappiness. The quality of my life has been so diminished. I am 50 years old and I feel 80. I want a change. I do not want to live like this. I am sick of being so heavy. I need help to make this change and I just feel it in my bones that LAP-BAND is the tool I need. I am married with two daughters ages 17 (UGH!) and 9. I love my husband and my girls with all my heart. My husband is very much against this. He just doesn't get it. He has never had a weight problem and is naturally very fit. His comment to me is, "Just eat less and exercise!" As I told him, I am sorry he is angry that I am doing this, and I am sorry this upsets him, but with or without his support I am doing this. I need to do this for me and I have never been more sure about one thing. I believe he will come around. I went to my first "information session" last night and I'm very excited about my decision to go forward with the lap-band surgery. I feel ready and confident albeit, a little nervous. I just have such a great feeling about this. My first doctor's visit is 9/14 (consultation). I can't wait. I want this done yesterday. I heard that joining this forum could be helpful and supportive, so here I am. I look forward to reading posts and learning about what awaits me. I will keep you all posted (no pun intended) on my status. Thank you. Liz
