Swrktp – I like how you listed all the choices. Tuff decision but like others have said I would definitely get Kaisers take on this. Nicolie – It was great seeing you and you look great! Time to go through the closet and sort things out. I have a lot of very nice Hawaiian shirts I’m going to miss but a couple that should now fit. It’s going to be a marathon closet clean but I should have plenty of clothes to shrink into. Lee – I think when Robin calls she usually tells us to move forward a couple days later so hopefully by the weekend we can have purees. I had a very small nugget of bread yesterday and I sure could feel it. Not much room down there. How are you doing? Ashley – Wishing your son the best!! How is everyone? Happy Monday!

Hi Donna – I will be there on Saturday. Thanks for the ride offer but I think I’ll need to ride alone as I’m skipping the lunch. Not ready for a restaurant yet. I’m looking forward to the meeting, been unable to attend for almost six months. Happy Thursday everyone! When is it going to rain again? Friday!!!

Tamra - Yes I remember you saying you liked it so that's why I picked it up. Should be good even without the cheese on stage II (full liquids).

Hi Lee – Can’t say I have that feeling other then when I have my ½ cup soup. I can tell I have a high pressure zone (stomach) when I’m downing the soup. I think it will just take time for us and our new stomachs to get used to each other. My abdomen is still pretty sore. Congrats on the 7.4 pounds!!!!!!!

Morning all! How is everyone doing? Loving the rain! Except one of my windows is leaking… Weighed myself this morning and I’m down 9 pounds since surgery day a week ago today. Reggie – You could go back to stage II. You can do it!! Hi Beatriz – I think we met last week at the hospital!?!? Heather – Nice going with the workouts! Nicolie – Congrats on getting advanced. I can’t wait! Candra – How are you feeling? Lee – How are you? How is everyone else?

Ali – Congrats! Yes some weeks you loss pounds and other weeks you loss around your waist. It wasn’t until I lost 30-40 that people started to notice. Tamara – You need to make better choices! With the band it’s all about weighing your food. Sleeve it’s all about portion size. Get back on track now as you risk not getting fills! You can do it!!!! It started to rain!! Yeah! Only been off work a week, what am I going to be like in a couple weeks? haha

Hi Lee- I’m doing ½ cup of cream of chicken. I sometimes get some pressure in the stomach if I have it too fast. Burping usually comes next. I have never been a burp’er but something tells me that is going to change. Not drinking after a meal is going to be a big change. I find myself sipping now after a meal but I have to remind myself not to have anything. I’m only hoping to be down 10 pounds, feels like I should be but we’ll see tomorrow. Bring on the rain, still nothing here.

Lee – Diarrhea came this morning, it’s not too bad but pretty gross. Otherwise I’m doing well. A little hungry but aren’t we all. I’ll weigh myself tomorrow, should be close to 10 pounds down a week after surgery. Pat – Congrats on the weight loss! Hi swishbc! Still waiting for the rain…

Hey Candra - Welcome back! I was wondering what you’ve been up to! Sorry to hear about the headaches! That’s similar to what I had the first 24 hours in the hospital last week. Get better! Morning all! Resting and sipping my ½ cup cream of chicken soup. Looking forward to the rain today! Breaks up the boredom. Not used to spending so much time doing nothing. I like the break from work but it’s boring. Not much energy on this stage so it’s good to be off work. Lee – How are you?

Pam – I will buy some and try some Splenda. Thanks! Nicolie – Glad you are doing well!! I will try the cream of wheat later in the week. I love cream of chicken/potato soups. Going to make a couple later this week by scratch.

Ashley - Stay on track you are almost there!!!! Cream of Rice is gross. Threw it out. I'll wait a few days to try the Cream of Wheat but I'm expecting the same... Good day and good choices everyone!

Lee - I'll weigh myself again on Wednesday. So far down 5 lbs. I don't like to weigh myself every day, I'd prefer two to three times a week. If I don't see progress I could get discouraged so weighing myself a couple times a week works better for me. Glad you are doing well. I feel great. A little hungry so I’ll go make some cream of rice for today’s meals. Great day everyone!

Lee – Wouldn’t think acid reflux would have to do with a hernia but hey I’m a computer geek… Glad you’re doing well! Nicolie – The Protonix works great for indigestion so you could ask Doc Who for some. I agree with Lee and would bring it to his attention as it’s a concern with your new pouch… Had my cream of chicken soup for dinner. For tomorrow's delite I'll try cream of rice.

Lee - Are you taking the Protonix for acid reflux? I used it years ago for a short time and it worked great. They brought me 100 pills bedside right before discharge. Must have scared everyone away with my TMI. Hey it’s about time the thread have some guy TMI.

Hi Ladies! Lee- Sorry you have a slight fever. Let us know how you are doing today! Candra - Where have you been? Miss your updates! I’m doing really good! Went to Home Depot and just finished doing bills. I’m a little hungry but not too bad. I had cream of chicken soup for breakfast and lunch. I’m not straining the tiny little morsel of chicken that comes in the can. Doesn’t seem worth it. So far so good. Pain is still around but not too bad. Down 5 pounds! TMI Warning; When going number one my penis is spitting or is it farting not sure. It’s funny. Sorry for the TMI. Wonder if it’s from the Catheter as I didn’t get this the last two band attempts… I hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

How is everyone doing? Lee? Feeling any better? I've decided to wait on the next stage until tomorrow. Starting to get a little hungry but overall not too bad. Feeling much better. Still taking some pain meds here and there. Happy Saturday night!

Hi Lee - I was going by the info in the binder which said 2-3 days after surgery with surgery being day 0. I do remember what they said in class. For me it’s easier to follow what’s in black and white so either day should be fine otherwise why would it be in our binder… I took a shower right after getting home Thursday night which the Doc approved. Warm water/broth has been best for me. Today it has gone down very well. I’m glad you are doing well! On a funny TMI note the nurse at the hospital keep coming in my room asking if I have passed gas. I always said no but she kept asking every couple hours. She would be happy to know I could play an instrument the last couple days! Sorry  Movies, Olympics and relaxation on the agenda today and well most days for the next week or so…

Hi Ladies! Lee – So glad you are doing so well! Pat – Congrats on the weight loss! Ashley – Glad you are so close and will be able to take care of both of you! Nicolie – You are doing so well! My update is I’m doing great! Still a lot of abdomen pain but overall I feel much better. I have a few more scars as they didn’t use all the same incisions areas and a couple are much larger. I did weigh myself at the hospital as I was curious as a scale was right outside my room. I was up 12 pounds from the morning and just think they took out 80% of my big ass stomach. A friend who is banded that lives back east calls his a “Blow Hole”. Well I think we can all relate to that name even if we have different surgeries. My blow hole is very sensitive now with just a sip it gurgles, blows and my stomach trembles. Not able to get much down but I did get in 25-30 ounces today. I hope everyone is doing well!
