  1. Wow nearly 2 stone thats terrific:w00t: Are you still not eating very much through sheer willpower or do you still have restriction from op? Jx
  2. Hi timeisnow what info did you find off Gary about the airport. Let me know as I am also wondering about bag drop. Jx
  3. Yes I think everything is under control:scared2: not. Im absolutely C***ing myself. But I have got the flights, painkillers, soup, glass mugs and stretchy clothing organised. I think when I read kathys post it really scared me so I wish I could get my brain organised as easily. I attend a weight management course but havent really taken it seriously until 2 weeks ago. I know after first week I lost 3 and a 1/2 pounds so hoping to do the same again this week as I have been really good. No alcohol for over a fortnight except on Satuarday at my friends silver wedding anniversary and I can assure you it went straight to my head. So no more I want my liver in 1/2 decent condition for op. Anyway time is creeping up cant believe its came round this quickly. J x:sad:
  4. Welcome Allan Im sure Gary will pm you just as soon as he reads your post. It sounds exactly the same as Gary had. 12. So sorry to hear this Kathy. This is one of my worst fears, I have mentioned this earlier on one of my posts that he opens me up and decides he cant do it. I like a glass of wine of a night but have gave this up for past week or two with the exception of Satuarday( friends silver wedding anniversary) to try and get my liver in good condition. Oh what a shame and now its put my fears into reality. J x:scared2:

  20. HERE HERE:thumbup::eek::thumbup::eek::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Well I am still sticking to low fat diet. Found it really hard yesterday but seem ok today. I am attending a NHS weight management course at the moment and to be honest I thought they would have been better than they are.Did any of you guys attend the WMS. I have only seen a dietician up to now and as I am one of the lighter people attending I knew there was no chance of me getting a NHS funded op. I havent done all that well up to now with them but I am hoping on friday I will have lost a few pounds. I havent told them I am being banded in a fortnight but my doctor suggests I do and says that I should get to see a bariatric nurse as I am already on a weight management programme. I am sure I read somewhere the NHS has even less funding for fills etc and a man had waited for 4 months to have a fill. Anyway I dont know wether to tell dietician or wait until I have had it done? I really dont want anyone who doesnt need to know, know if that makes sense:cursing:. Thank god for you guys:thumbup: J x
  21. Soooo glad you got the 6 month package:rolleyes2: OMG cant believe its already come round to your time to have the band. How have you got on with the low fat diet? J x:drool:
  22. Went to my GP tonight and told him my intentions of getting the operation in Belgium. He was very supportive and was really sorry the NHS couldnt do more. He has given me some soluable pain killers (but dont know if I will be able to take them its solpadol) also thinks after my six months with wls the NHS will continue my care if needed? He said he had visited some hospitals in Belgium and they were top grade. He made me feel really confident about what I am doing and has straightened out some of my silly worries. Jx
  23. Timeisnow I think the date they told me was august the 17th or round abouts. I know it was too late as I am going on holiday on the 16th and thats why I decided to go with wls. They have a clinic on the 11th of August and definately will not fill until at least 6 weeks after op. Hope this helps a little. j x
  24. Thats really good gillian. I hope everyone who wants the 6 month package can have it. But Coleen definately said it was no longer company policy to allow this. They wanted them to have 12 months. Hope the decide to cancel this stupid policy. And thanks for asking on our behalf:rolleyes2: Congrats on the weight loss how much is that now? Ive started a low fat diet already 2 and a half weeks before the op as I want to get into the swing of things. I kept eating things and saying to myself it might be the last time Ill have this but I think since Ive decided to have the op all my last taste of things have made me put on another half stone. So enough is enough and thats why I started the low fat diet yesterday. I felt really hungry yesterday but ok today:drool: J x
