  1. Hi everyone xx I am being banded mid April and I am doing Optifast Breakfast and lunch and no coffee for 2 weeks before the final doctors order of the final 2 weeks before surgery, to get into the habit. Crazy lady I know but keep thinking - once its gone its gone!!!? I am practicing eating my dinner slowly and not drinking with meals - 1/4 hr before and 1/2 hr after (is this correct?) It is so so so so hard!!! Didn't realize how hard this bit would be. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions how they do it? It's such a normal thing to have drink with dinner for me, be it soda Water or (a very small wine now ). Is it just me or did anyone else have this problem? Would love some help with this. Thank you so much. Lou x
  2. Thanks Jake Very reassuring. I suppose that is the least of my problems, I need to get the weight off first then I may not even be fussed by the skin, I will just be so relieved, and so much more comfortable. 46 pounds, thats 20kgs in my language  an enormous amount, although only a third of what I need to lose. Congratulations, I am sure that if I lost that much I would be jumping up and down, because I could I am planning on doing as much exercise as I can. Good luck with your journey.
  3. Officially joining you all today after looking through every day for the last 2 weeks. Love all the before and after pics - some of you have done extremely well. Any hints on how to prevent the saggy skin? :tt2: I am seeing surgeon on Thursday am when they should give me date for the Lapband surgery. :cool2: I think I am excited - but nervous too, hmmm. Would love to know if you got your chance again, would you do it again? Looking forward to chatting with you all. Lou
