  1. I found an interesting blog. It isn't from Lap Band, but this guy went from obese to six pack: Mr. Low Body Fat’s Blog
  2. wow, that's a great question that i never asked my doctor about. but i figure, you can't even use a straw immediately after surgery, so i'd assume the same with the cpap. i'd assume after the stitches heal, you can use your cpap. if no one answers, i'll ask my doctor this weekend when i see him (if i remember).
  3. I talked to the dietitian yesterday said 30 min post meal. But yea, 2 hours is too long. You can also do ice chips or small sips if your "dying".

This was/will be the heaviest I've ever been.
  5. Hello All! My name is RJ and I'm a MO person in Ridgecrest, CA. I've been on the forums for a couple days (weeks?) researching Lap Band results, and I must say I'm impressed. I went in for my first free seminar on Wednesday, Jan 7 with Dr. Michael Feiz. He did an especially good job to get me hyped up to get a band and lose weight. Who would have thought a surgeon would be such a good sales man? Anyway, I don't have an exact date for my procedure at this point, but the wheels are in motion, and chances are I'll be banded with a Realize Band within the next month. My insurance is covering all but $4000... is that normal? Seems like it's a little over priced with this doctor. Anyway, I'll post my updates as I get them. All in all, I'm happy to be in this community and support and share my experiences with all.
  6. I too have blue cross of california... please let me know how it works out for you. it's my ultimate deciding factor if insurance will cover.
  7. This is a dumb question, but has anyone heard of any success stories or information on if it's possible (and if anyone on here has done it) to go from being obese, to having a six pack. I realize it's a big dream to have, but if someone has done it, it would be interesting to me.
  8. Congratulations! Keep up the good work.
  9. Very well put! My goals are pretty similar to others, tattoo, sky diving, buy a new skinny-me wardrobe.
  10. This thread is cracking me up. But one thing I can vouch for to all the guys is that as you lose lbs, you gain inches, and the same the other direction. I used to be ~150 lbs lighter that I am today, and I still remember how it "used to be". I'm getting banded soon... so hopefully I'll drop 150 (or more) and relive the glory days and some.
  11. Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. I've seen a variety of people on here post pics of their incisions, and some drs use stitches, some staples, and some skin adhesive (glue). What did Dr. Feiz use for u?
  12. please post ur results from Dr Feiz, because that's who i've been looking at getting mine done with.
