I have a very long weight loss journey story--it took FOUR years to get where I am today.
A long my journey to surgery, I suffered a lot of obstacles and red tape. I guess it's not important about what they were..but how I got through them and the end result, which was FINALLY RNY surgery on 10/28/24. My weight loss progress has been slow and steady, just like my pre-op weight loss. I lost 95 pounds pre-op when I finally decided to get serious after a few setbacks that had me delve into a deep state of depression. My sister had started this journey with me, and she passed away three months into the journey. She was my best friend, but she also enabled me, and I enabled her as well, with food. Therapy has helped me massively with this journey.
