  1. So interesting to read everyones updates. I have finished all of my pre-op steps and now wait for 9/30. I'm ready to go. I appreciate all of the support. Please keep us updated on everyone's progress. Thanks, Carolyn
  2. Thanks for the replies. I go to my hospital pre-op and nutrionists tomorrow. After that everything is completed. Just waiting for the 30th. Obviously a little nervous about the surgery. I don't like anesthesia Hate to lose control. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions after surgery, but right now I just wanted to be sure there were individuals out there to talk with. Thanks - Carolyn
  3. Ladies, I hope I have found my group. Being over 60 definitely needs a group. I just posted a Newbie thread to introduce myself. My surgery is next Tuesday, 9/30. I need your support - PLEASE... Carolyn
  4. Not only am I new to the LapBand, but also new to Forums. Sorry if I mess up. I'm having my banding on 9/30 at jfk Medical Center by Dr. Larson. I'm anxious, but a little nervous. Maybe I have been reading too much, but I'm not happy hearing about the hunger you experience before your first fill. I don't want to gain weight. I want this to work. I guess I'll have to wait and see. I'd appreciate joining your group. Carolyn Also how do you know when you have a response?
  5. f bmi 51.4 I have a lot to lose. I was just reading about the desire to eat after the swelling goes down and before your fill. Looks like I need to start controlling the hunger. Thanks
  6. How's it going? I understand your feelings. Hope everything is great with you!!
  7. Don't you love beagles. We had 2, but down to 1 now. So that is all you are eating! I guess I better head to the store. I can see the value of cleaning out your system. Any certain quantities per day? Thanks for your help.
  8. I'm the 30th in Lake Worth, FL. Dr. Larson. Staff and Doctor are very, very good. I wanted to do this quickly and they have really helped. I had my first appointment on Sept. 17th and we have moved rapidly. I see the nutritionist and hospital pre-op on Thursday and that's it. But I am not on a liquid diet. What is it? I have been eating everything and I need to get on a plan to get ready. Your help is appreciated. Thanks
  9. Thanks. I want to stay with the September Group and watch our great successes!! It is exciting. Looking forward to less of all of us. In the BANDS!!
