Hey shelly the pain isnt bad at all i didnt take painkillers after leaving the hospital i tried the ones they gave me but one sip and that was it they are horrible but i can honestly say i didnt find the pain bad at all i just felt heavy being so swollen and tight more dis comfort than pain but i was quite sick and nauseous after the anastetic but everyone else seemed to be grand also my belly was completely black and bruised but no one elses was haha just me

Oh shelly god i never even considered the bypass that would just be too scary for me and not a road i would of drempt of going down... trust me post op is grand for the first wk its liquids juices cuppa soups etc and trust me u wont really feel like eating the next few wks mushies and i know i had mash and gravy and that kinda thing it really aint bad and u defo wont be too hungry in the first few wks after the band

Shelly i must say gettin the band has changed my whole mentality and i was very ready to lose the weight iv never wanted anything as much in my life and i certainly wasnt gona sit and wait for restriction thank god it would have been a long wait but i also was terrified of failing with the band how bad would that be so i just gave it my all and for about 4months after the band all i ate was one bit of fish and a pack of koka noodles a day so i was extremely strict on myself and have put alot of effort in but god there is still plenty of me left but hopefully there wont be too much when im finished lol

Yeah shelly i can eat more aless anything it has slowed my eating down but because i havnt reached the so called sweet spot or restriction im still constantly hungry and can eat any amount but i hope my fill in belgium monday will help cos im finding it hard at the min but like u i never in my life got a signal that im full its always what can i have next but i hope il see a red light from next week on i must say i thought the band would be alot easier work than it has been but im still glad i got it i just hope it'l get to work now after a good fill but it defo aint easy

Haha its a productive burp to me its when something gets stuck u start producing slime to try and release what is stuck and usually thats when u bring back up the food haha im useless at describing these things but only for i knew about it before it happened i would of got a awful fright cos it isnt nicest of experiences

Yeah i know its all the little tips u get on here make the difference i know before i got the band i wouldnt of had a clue i wouldnt of known about dr chris either i was planning on going to the beacon thank god i didnt talk about a rip off except for the forum but most of the people who were banded around my time have stopped using the forum but im still always on its a great form of support but i really feel for people goin for the band who havnt read this forum cos god i wouldnt of known anything from pb'ing to all other sorts of things that come along with the joys of having a band lol

Hi shelly im leaving here at about 4am monday morn so looking forward to it... Ah i must say wls seem to be brilliant for fills and aftercare i just ended up going with fred and then didnt see the point in changing over to them and i suppose i was always afraid if something went wrong with band how would i go back to dr chris silly i know but wls defo have a excellent reputation... Haha i bought all the vitamins and milk thistle and me being me never took them im great for a wk then i forget all about them but must start again...

Hey sammy i have 7.25mls and NO restriction so i expect him to give me at least a ml or more cos i know i need it im terrified of gaining cos im at the stage im yoyoing and im so pissed off im eating more... but god u are so lucky having such access to fills every fortnight instead of being like me 9months out and no restriction but hopefully i wont be complaining about it when i get back from belgium lol but yeah my friend is eating all in sight and im near as bad i seem to be joining her i near feel like im being banded too except im hoping to get restriction if that makes sense lol i think my band holds 7-9ml but ur doing great and ur at 6ml already lucky u

Haha i was on phone to her this morn and she was having a big fry up for brekkie lol but dr chris never turned anyone away because of a fatty liver so she aint too worried and after monday she wont be doing it lol

Hey tee bird yep im all set really looking forward to it... We'l be in belgium at 9.30am so think we'r gona go into brussels for the day i have appointment with dr chris at 7pm for my fill and xray and i think fred mailed my mate and said he'l be coming to hotel to meet her between 8and9pm he may even speak to you's all together he does that sometimes i must mail u my number il send it to you on facebook and u can give me a text so we can meet up if u like...

Yeah gillian leaving here at 4sunday morn for airport wil be in belgium at 9.30am so il do some shopping in brussels but yeah like u i think id rather being closer to home being here or uk cos it defo is a bigger op than band and god forbid even if it was a wee infection u got it would be a nightmare and id like to be able to have easy access to the surgeon/hospital i have a consult in dublin the end of may i know the tt with lipo is €8200 and arms are €6000 but id near be prepared to pay that even though i want to research more into the uk cos i think it could be wee bit cheaper even with a top surgeon but defo not going near a cosmetic clinic has to be a general hospital id just feel safer but il find out all i can from dr chris and report back...

Hey sammy yeah im much better now scare it certainly was i got soup down ok yesterday so gona try dinner now soon im starving lol just roll on monday till i get my fill it cant come quick enough but im worrying that i have only 1.75ml and thats the band full but least i know i cant be too far from restriction now lol i hope... Its great ur getting such regular fills it will really speed up the process for u...

Hey wishfull i lost a serious amount of hair my hair used be that thick the hairdresser used dread drying it but i now have fine hair which is a nightmare but i went to doc she done blood tests and said i wasnt lacking in anything but she said maybe cos im under stress it can be a big factor and sometimes the shock of surgery to the body can cause the loss but im hoping it will come back to its self soon
