  1. I have tried to learn from all the bandsters that have proceeded me. I am 5 days out of surgery, feel great , didn't have any complications. I used all the tricks I read for helping the gas pain and they worked great, didn't have any pain, and got rid of the gas the first three days , by walking and using gas x. I was even able to empty out on the morning of the 3rd day, by having a cup of organic Kona coffee and a shot of half & half. I'm not hungry, but I have been eating a cup of healthy soup, for one meal a day and then a couple of protein drinks along with sipping water all day and into the evening . I have been a very slow weight loser, before surgery, but I have really firmed and toned by swimming everyday, have to be away from that for a couple of weeks, so I'm walking at least a mile a day. My new goal is to add at least a 1/2 hour every day,of weight resistance. I need to build more muscle to start really burning those calories. I have no doubt, I am going to reach my goals, one day at a time. Thanks to all, for sharing, I will definetly continue to pass it forward !
  2. It's ironic that after all the false hopes, my surgery ended up in February, after all. To all of you that proceed me, make it easy on yourself, just go with the flow ! And for anyone out there, that believes in prayer, just send one out for Puna Teri, at !0 A.M. Hawaii time , Monday the 9th of February !:toetap05:
  3. Just got the call today !

After a disappointing visit on the 28th of October, I spoke to several of the people on the bariatric team, it seemed to no avail. Bingo, today they told me the Bariatric doctor was going to present me to the surgeon, which means I should have a date very soon. This is very encouraging , because I was told I would be waiting until Febuary, after already being on a waiting list for 14 months and an additional 5 month bariatric program, to date. I CAN't tell you how excited I am.:biggrin::redface::biggrin:
  4. Having a low time.

 I am in my last month of my preop program with Kaiser. I'm very disheartened with some of the so called professionals in this program. I don't even know where to start, I guess I have to pray about it some more . Will try and share when I have a clearer mind.
