  1. Oh good. It's important to have someone you trust. I'm sure you're gonna' feel lots better after you have this done.
  2. Well, yes, it is an antibacterial agent . . . that's how it kills all those germs. It can certainly be an irritant, however, and can make your skin red and itchy. I just meant that I doubt it would cause infection. Who knows what else might be in a pool though.
  3. I agree that it would be prudent to call the doc. However, I doubt chlorine would cause infection, since it is an antibacterial agent. In fact, it usually helps with healing.
  4. 'Dorkable!!!! OMG!!! You look absolutely amazing. What a difference. What great photos!!! And, yes, the jawline is amazing. I had to have a photo taken yesterday for something on campus and I looked at it and all I could see were chins, chins, chins. Bella - welcome to the other side! How nice that you were able to have dee take care of you. Isn't she the absolute best? dee - your lunch sounds great. How fun for all of you. And how fun to hit Target twice in one day. I always need to take "inventory" when I go in there . . . you know, look at every single thing on every aisle. Drives DH nuts. Miss Munchkin - we met another potential furry friend today! A cute cute cute little girl who had been brought in to a shelter after being abused and is now at a rescue facility. She looks like she has some schnauzer in her and has an adorable scruffy face with long, funny eyebrows. She is sweet as could be and very gentle. We are taking Keeley to meet her on Tuesday and we'll see how they get along. She just stole my heart. She just has that demeanor that says "if you'll just love me I'll do anything for you". Lotza posted on another thread that she had a rough flight home and is not feeling so well. Something about that flight from Denver to Salt Lake is not good. I think it's coming over the cold mountains then dropping into the heat of the valley that makes it so darned bumpy.
  5. OH NO!!! Are you okay? Is that the worst flight ever? I was soooo sick.
  6. Thanks for the update. Night, night sweetie pie.
  7. Hi Michelle. I stayed 2 days after my surgery, but many only stay one. I would try to stay 2 if I were you. I will be flying back for my first fill but may try to have it done locally. We have a fill doc here with a pretty decent reputation. I am only 2 weeks out from surgery, but am very happy thus far.
  8. Hey Brandy! How are you? How is FIL? Well everyone, we went and met the potential furry friend . . .but it didn't work out. Keeley kept trying to say hi and the other doggie bit her. Hard. Twice!! Keeley hid behind me and was really scared. It was obviously not the right fit. Oh well, we'll just keep looking . . .
  9. Adorkable, that is FANTASTIC!!!! Do you realize that you are 1/3 of the way DONE???? Congratulations. You should be very proud of yourself.
  10. Good luck and best wishes! It will be over before you know it.
  11. I first spoke with their office the first part of may and just had my surgery July 2nd!! So it didn't take long at all.
  12. gbear, so happy to hear that things went well and that you and lotza were able to cross paths. Have a great night and welcome to band land!!
  13. Good luck tomorrow, Bella. Glad you had fun at RR. Aren't the ladies the best? Can't wait to see pics. gbear . . . if you're lurking, hope things went well today!
  14. Woohoo Lotza! Welcome to the land of the banded!!!! I'm glad all went well. Remember to take your pain meds, sip water, walk as much as you can.
  15. I would call the office and ask Natalie. She's very nice.
  16. Interesting study to be published tomorrow: Low-carb beats low-fat in diet duel - Diet and nutrition - MSNBC.com
  17. This is all really good advice, Lap. We took our 85 year old MIL to England last year using a wheelchair from the airlines for every transfer, etc. It actually went pretty well.
  18. Hello lap band ladies! Hotmomma, have a FABULOUS trip. Munckin - that makes me happy that you thought of me when you saw a MINI. I can't believe how much I love my silly car. Still trying to make arrangements to meet the fur baby. I can't wait. Bella- are you feeling better today??? Life - take care of your foot and the rest of you as well. Woofay - arrrgghhh!!!! Houseguests! I'm awful, but I love when my hubby and I are just home alone with our pets. I'm really selfish. Well, I'm down another 1/2 pound today. I know it's not all that much, but for me it's a major deal. I've lost 8 lbs. in two weeks . . . I've always been lucky to lose 1-1.5 lbs per week. So I'm really pleased.
  19. Fit, I'm so happy to hear that you are taking these steps. You can do this. You really can. Go for it. You're worth it.
  20. OH NO!!! That sounds like a terrible time. Make sure you tell Dr. K that you got airsick. You'll want to make sure that it doesn't happen on the way home if at all possible. I hope you have a better day tomorrow. You're meeting the ladies at RR, right? That will be fun.
  21. Hey there 'dorkable. Glad you got your scan done today. It will be interesting to hear the results. Okay, the puking thing sounds kinda' awful. I'm really going to have to be careful. I really like meat.
  22. Hey Mal. Didn't get to meet the furry friend yet . . . trying to set something up for tomorrow. My swelling finally went down a few days ago. Last week I looked very pregnant. And I kept holding my tummy like pregnant women do It was weird. I still can't quite do the top button on my pants, but it's way better than it was.
  23. We love the view. I grew up in Moab, Ut (red, red rocks) and lived for a time in Eugene (trees, trees, trees) and I love them both. So when we found a place with red rocks AND trees, we knew we were in the right place.
  24. Okay, here are some new pics from the treehouse. It's starting to come together. The first two are interior pics, the last is of the view from the window wall.
