  1. When I got started on this long journey, someone asked me why I wanted to do this. I really really thought about it. Other than to lose weight I mean. My core reasons are: to cut down, if not cut all of the medications i'm on, to hope for my type 2 diabetes to go into remission, to be in less pain, and to live longer ( i'm a grandmother and want to be around). the person I said this too said "don't you want to LOOK better"? Well, I can honestly say that for me, it's not about looks. It's about life.
  2. I also have UHC.. and I have to fight tooth and nail for every little bit of information. I found them on Facebook and complained and PRESTO someone contacted me. give it a try.
  3. I also have UHC. I don't have other health issues, but I want the surgery. UHC has been incredibly difficult to deal with here in New Hampshire. the hospital that is 15 mins away is in network, but the entire bariatric team is not. so strike that. UHC sends me to the next nearest place, 1 hour away. so every consult / appointment is a 3 hour event. 1 hour to drive to, 1 hour for the appointment, 1 hour back. and finding IN network people for each type of appointment is like playing treasure hunt. it's getting me down, but I refuse to give up. I hope you get what you need and don't give up!
