I can't believe how quickly time is starting to tick away. I start my liquid diet the 27th and my birthday is the 28th *womp womp* BUT wine is liquid, so I think I will have a glass of that rather than some cake

I was going to send you a message and see how your first day went. I'm glad it went well I have tried to kick the soda habit as well (for me it's diet coke). I guess in my head I thought of it more as a "treat" than anything...so I learned that anyway. I'm here if you need any support or just someone to talk to! I look forward to seeing you!

So glad that you guys replied! I too put in a lot of research. I am nervous and as the date is quickly approaching, I am getting more and more excited/anxious. I just came to the point where I knew that I had to do something and the more research that I did....the more I knew that this is what I had to do and just had a "feeling". I am hoping that you guys know what I mean. I feel like I sounded crazy when I tried to explain this to my family.

I'm pretty new here and I'm scheduled for surgery July 4th (EEK!) with Dr. Illian. I drink alcohol very rarely now...but I am a mother of an almost two year old, so occasionally a glass of wine or a nice cold beer really hits the spot. I was just curious on post-op how your body tolerates that? I know that wine may be a little easier on the belly, as long as it's not "bubbly". Just curious on what others experiences have been. Thank you for the info!

I plan on flying in the day of, I haven't booked my flight yet...but I did some looking and it seems like it shouldn't be an issue. I'm relieved to have found someone on here that will be there the same time!
