  1. I had mine done by Dr. Valenzuela at MExico Bariatric Centre. She was great. Good luck tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. YOU DID IT!! YOU MADE IT!! and you sly dog, lost 22 lbs in the past two weeks!! that is amazing. congrats. Sorry to hear about the gall bladder but good that you didnt have to have another surgery or pass the stones. that would have been AWFUL. Glad to hear no gas pain - I was not so lucky - but it has subsided now. And man! constipation to diahhrea in record time was quite the intense experience. I'm just glad to be on the other side. Did they show you a pic of your stomach? Makes me nauseated just remembering. Hope you are home? and resting. Keep me posted!
  3. so great to hear!! ~Thanks for letting me know. And a big congrats to you. I am back from the hospital today and in the hotel room which is great. I feel ok - just tired and woozy like you said. Gassy too. Bloated. hmmmm..... nothing to report on the weight loss front. I am still like a balloon. but soon enough. I will write more later. So tired and nauseated!
  4. Very insightful and inspiring! Thanks for this. I think it's such a worry about what the body will look like AFTER which is sad because we have been so saddened by how our bodies look BEFORE> I like the idea of waiting until the dust settles. Glad its working out for you!!
  5. OMG so funny. When I saw the heading, I thought you were going to say that they were hanging low. That's what I'm expecting since I am not a spring chicken. The problem is they are also lopsided. I may need to resurrect them not have them reduced!! In any case, we will all be beautiful and much healthier soon! Congrats on your WL so far! Incredible.
  6. I'm going to Tijuana . Mexico Bariatric. Good luck to you as well! where will you be?
  7. Wow. Great description of your experience! How are you feeling now? I Have you weighed yourself? I love that you didnt want to have a scale before because you might fall on it and see your weight! So funny. I am having my surgery in Mexico in 2 days. I was about to back out on Friday because of fear - still up and down back and forth. But I'm going and I'm excited as long as I don't think too much!! And I keep reading positive posts! Hope you are feeling well these days.
  8. April 24th too! I'm on your team! Good luck. Keep us posted on the flip side.
  9. Best of luck! Sounds like it will be a relatively painless event... let's hope! Congrats on the motiviation. So inspiring to others. Keep us posted on the flip side! PS I CANNOT believe that you havent weighed yourself!! You are disciplined, that's for sure.
  10. You sound ready and motivated!! Good luck and have you lost over 25 pounds already?? CONGRATS!!
  11. HOLY MOLY - wow. What trials (drug) and tribulations you have been through already! That sounds so disgusting - getting shot up with sugar water and the blood glucose levels. Geez. I guess its almost the same as binging on certain types of food? who knows. So interesting about the diabetes disappearing. And the sleep apnea. wow. I hope and pray for that one. In any case, thank you for contributing to science!!
  12. Ahhh... St. Thomas. I cruised through there once. And found out I was 41 and pregnant. Happy but sad not to drink all that wine! Now he's a 5.11 14 year old sweetie pie. MAN what a bad way to fall! you need to spice up that story woman! Tell people you were in a bikini contest and one o the jealous contestants tripped you so that you wouldnt win! PS I'm gonna follow you so we can stay in touch pre post.
  13. Don't you hate those doctors who follow protocol? ha ha too bad nice try . And boy! getting paid is such a bonus!!
  14. Oh my gosh I can't imagine being pregnant with twins and having cancer at the same time! that is unimaginable. But looks like you came through! such strength and courage (and pain) coming through these pages. Sorry to hear about your husband and your knees! Were you dancing on a table when you fell? Really shouldnt drink so much on those cruises! I was at a wedding a couple of years ago and they 'made' one person get up on their chair at each table to do something (I don't even remember what it was) and I fell onto the table! Big laugh except I almost killed myself! Fat and funny. Tears of a clown.
  15. Oh boy. Was I wrong!! Geez you are going through a lot. How amazing tho to be part of a research study and get lipo at the same time! Two fer one! Really hope it goes well for you. Can't wait to hear about afterwards. How long do you stay in the hospital?
  16. That is so freaking awesome that you already lost almost 40 pounds. What a legend. Hero. Queen.
  17. Wait a sec. Finding:Stacy SIX MONTHS???? DARLING I LOVE YA
  18. My surgery is Aoril 24th also. It's true I'm not that big but I but my height in wrong - I am onlky 3 oot 7. Or at least it feels lke it! I've got so many related probs - sleep apnea, bad knees, weak bladder, etc. Plus I've had cancer twice already and my dad died of heart disease. I just want to be more healthy!!! We are on the path!!!! PS Can someone tell me how to reply directly to a comment. I just joined and I can't igure it out (See!! NO F's)
  19. I don't have a time yet. But imagine! You'll be done by 8 am!! So exciting
  20. I wish love and support to all the CPAP users (is that how you even spell it?). I am also one of them - I must admit that NOT having it was worse. I got in alot of car accidents and would fall asleep at red lights I was so exhausted. Plus my teenagers would yell, ;MOM YOU SOUND LIKE DARTH VADER WHEN YOU SNORE!!' It would be so wonderful to think that my airway isn't closing repeatefly (like more than 100 times a night) because I am so overweight! To think I could shift in bed better (I almost wrote '****' because my F key is wonky!! ha ha that was probably next) In any case, I am wishing all CPAC / CPAP / CCRAP ha ha machines to be retired to the fat hall of fame. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!!!! THANK YOU FOR BEING THERE!!
  21. My surgery is April 24th as well!! Good luck to us both!
