I am almost 3 months post op. I feel hungry all the time. My calorie goal is 600-800 a day but I've been closer to 900-1000. Carbs are definitely my weakness. I have a really hard time getting enough protein- sometimes I get really nauseated by meat and protein powders make me vomit. When I drink water if I feel hungry it makes me nauseous. My starting weight was 313 and I am now at 270. But I have been at 270 for about 2 weeks.
I am almost 3 months post op and I feel hungry a lot. I try really hard to be protein heavy and avoid carbs, except for fruit. Protein shakes make me vomit. I have found a protein supplement that actually is tasteless and fully dissolvable in all liquids, hot or cold- but it is only an additional 11 grams of protein. Why do I feel hungry?! I feel so guilty because I keep ending my days around 900-1000 calories instead of 600-800. I have plateaued in weight loss again. I started at 313 and I'm at 270 and have been for about 2 weeks. I hope your reset goes well.
Me too. I am Almost 3 months post op. I figure it is from a development of anemia. Are you taking iron supplements? I know I should be but I haven't found any I can tolerate. If you are taking iron, don't take it within 2 hours of taking your calcium.
Keep up your Water, Protein, and Vitamins. I am only a month post-op but from the people I've talked to and the support groups I'm in, keeping your goals for the above make a huge difference. Water keeps your skin looking healthy and helps with the elasticity.
