My surgery date was Friday the 13th. It was schedule for 11 am but I was to check in to prep for 9:15. My surgeon finished his previous procedure early so I was next in line. I was hooked up with an IV then I met with my anesthesiologist ,my doctor and his team. At this time I said. My "see you laters" to my mother and grandfather. The anesthesia was then pushed thru to my iv and I was out. My mom said the surgury was very short to her. I remember waking up out of surgery in pain and discomfort,the nurse then pushed Morphin through my Iv and that calmed the pain down. I was then transported to my room where the nurses and pct was very sweet and helpful. Ice chips was given to me and Water for the first night. Saturday they introduce Crystal light and Sunday they introduced shake,broth, and Jello. I was able to take a few sips of each but I still felt gasy so I walked around alot with no results. My dct came to visit and not only did completed the procedure he also found a hernia on my esophagus which he had to minimize.
