  1. Everyone is different. Stay positive. Be prepared to crave food the first week or two just because you literally can't have it. Also if you can't tolerate Water or anything from liquid diet due to digestion try baby products. Baby applesauce, baby water. (Gerber Brand) taste amazing and you will get your nutrients and stay hydrated. HYDRATION is the key! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Hi I'm about 9 days post opp GS. Haven't been able to really keep much down except half an ice pop per day and maybe 8 oz of Water. Met with my surgeon today and he sent me to ER. In ER I was offered applesauce and it was Gerber brand. Of course I couldn't eat it all at once but it stayed down and I didn't feel sick. I was also offered Gerber brand water. It stayed down as well. Does or did anyone else have to start off slow with baby products due to digestion? I thought it was a little weird at first but the apple sauce taste great and the water taste wonderful, very purified. I was drinking Poland Spring at first but I was able to pick up a few gallons of the Gerber Pure water since it can stay down without a problem. I didn't realize I had to drink atleast 48oz of fluids a day. Hopefully I can now that I have easier water to drink. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Hey I am about 9 days post opp. Met with my surgeon today for the follow up appointment and he sent me to ER for dehydration. In my case whenever I would move just to go to the bathroom, move to comb my hair or even put on clothes I would instant have to rush to my bed to lay down and I was out of breath. I thought it was cause I was weak but it was because of dehydration. Mouth constantly dry as well. My surgeon said you are suppose to take in 48-64 oz of fluids a day. 4 oz every hour. Sip every 15 mins. Go to the ER and let them give you 2 or 3 ivy Fluid bags. You will feel better. Also if you can't keep regular bottled Water down or if it's hard to sip try baby water. I now use gerber pure water. You can get it at your local Walmart. It goes down without a problem. Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
