  19. just got off the phone with the scheduler and it looks like February 3rd for me!! unfortunately, it is office policy that our bandings be 1 month apart, so my dh date is march 7th. well, im pretty excited anyway, and it will be here before you know it.
  20. thanks for your input. that was basically the way i was leaning. im hoping to talk to the scheduler today so we will see if its possible to do both together. keep your fingers crossed!
  21. my dh and i got our approvals last thursday. im waiting now for scheduling to call with a surgery date. i have a question for you all. since both of us are getting banded, do you think it would be beneficial to wait a month between bandings or would it be ok to have them done together, or maybe a week apart? originally the docs office said surgeries would be one month a part but i think they were also taking into consideration that we may be having gb and not lb. i would really like to be done together, but having not gone thru this i dont know what to expect as far as being able to help each other afterwards. we do have grown kids that are here to help us. so what do you all think? thanks. i really do appreciate this board, i have read and learned so much. you may not see me input much but boy once im banded, i will officially be a fixture here. :banana
  22. Congratulations! I Just Got My Approval Yesterday So Im Waiting Now For A Surgery Date.
  23. im still trying to get things in order. waiting on an approval to get my surgery date. but i was wondering, my doc said that i would need to do away with taking advil (which i have) and drinking soda. i am a diet mountain dew junkie. ive tried the diet rite zero and...not so good. is doing away with soda something that you absolutely have to do or is it ok to have maybe 1 a day.
  24. thank you everyone for the imput. i agree with all of you in that the lb would be much better. however, i just have to convince my hubby of this. we have already talked with the docs at scottsdale barriatric and they will leave it up to him. in the long run, i am just hoping and praying he chooses the lb. again thanks for the info. there is so much info on this board. i love it!
  25. good morning everyone. i have a question for you all. as i stated previously, my husband and i are gonna go thru this together. however, he has not yet made up his mind if he is going to do the band or gb. i talked with him yesterday and was telling him about everything i read just yesterday on this board regarding that. he said that he is just afraid of still being hungry and with the gb some kind of hunger craving whatever is supposedly taken away. and he is looking to drop weight pretty fast, he already has a back fracture caused by his weight. i told him i would support him either way but i really wish he would do the band. help me out here guys. thanks
