Ohhh yea I just love that. I get DH saying....I swear you put them next to the printer. Yeap checked that 3 times. Ripped apart my desk, went through each pile 3 times, went through every pocketbook I own, zip. I'm TOTALLY clueless as to where these things are. I'll find them....AFTER they expire! I even asked ST Anthony to please help me find them......he couldn't help me either I hate this stuff....I end up knocking myself to pieces and DH gets mad at me for doing that but, I can't help it. I need a DON'T LOSE IT FILE DRAWER or something and every time I think "put this away so I don't lose it" I should put it there. Then again everything I own would be in it lol I need to get over this though and do some work but do I...nooo I keep looking! why? No clue!

Happy Birthday Pat! Ok so todays menu changed...I have Sloppy Joe cooking in the crockpot Smells yummy. Well I have to get cracking on my work I just wasted soooo much time looking for these free movie tickets I got from my health insurance. You know I put them in a place so I wouldn't forget where they are and NOW I can't find them. grrrrrrrr. I have NO CLUE where the heck they are now. I've searched my entire desk (which is where I've put all my gift certificate type stuff), my book shelves, my old pocketbooks in case I put them in there and forgot to transfer them but nope...can't find them. The guys are going to the movies to see 300 and I wanted them to use the tickets before they expire. I have a year on them so hopefully I'll find the damn things before then UGH. I just hate that and it just makes me all worked up about how cluttered things are right now. I sooo need a week off of work to declutter my home and life right now but, I just can't take the time off. Even then...when I get it off I want to relax lol. Can't win....Who is the saint of lost things? Maybe he can help me

We always have wacky weather here in New England. DH went on a motorcycle ride yesterday and yet today we woke up to two inches of snow hahaha gotta love New England for that stuff I even saw crocusses in the neighbors yard yesterday bet they are hiding today hee hee Hmmm I still have my 4 foot Christmas wreath on the house so the snow at least matches that hahaha. i'm hoping when I can get DH to climb the ladder to take it down he'll put up the nice tin star I bought instead!

Hello everyone and welcome newbies I'm from Taunton, MA and had my surgery with Dr. Jones at BIDMC Feb 13th 2006. So I'm a year out plus now and still happy with my band. Been kinda at a standstill with the weight loss but I swear it's body memory We'll see...once the warmer weather is here and the pool is open I'll be out there exercising Hopefully it will move quicker then. I didn't have to do a 10 day presurgery diet back then anyway. They asked that I try to lose 10 pounds before surgery but I wasn't given a time frame for it. I just started to try to lose that since I was accepted into the program. I ended up losing about 7 pounds. I can honestly say I haven't regretted this surgery once...so far I wish you all the best with your process and upcoming surgeries. Please feel free to ask away and we'll help where we can

Geeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesh something went wrong and I haven't received a notice of things being posted here since my last posting. I've been so stinking busy I didn't realize it's been that long until tonight I said what the heck? DUH! Sorry about that. I'm alive, I'm kicking...not screaming yet but I will be tomorrow cause it's FRIDAY lol. Just got in from my stained glass class...oooo ok I'm liking it now that I have the hang of it. Not sure I'll finish my project in time though..only two more classes to go and lots more glass to cut but we'll see. Anywho...I'm exhausted...3rd night out to almost 10pm and getting up at 5am are making me pooped yawwwwn. So I'm off for the night but wanted to say hello to my friends. I'll catch up soon!

Help? Surgery 3/21 Very Personal Question!
Renee...check with your doc because my surgeon didn't want a tampon in during surgery. They wanted us to use pads so you need to check with your surgeon on the hospital preference.

ok that worked whew.... Cindy - I love Disney myself. Haven't been in quite a few years...hmmm might have to work on a trip there myself in the near future. Maybe this time I can truly enjoy every bit of it versus the way it was the last time for me. Long story but, that's when I had a decision to make about my first husband. Anywho, I just love how Disney makes you feel like a kid again. I just LOVE their new commercials where the parents turn into kids on the rides with their kids then pass a window/mirror and turn back into adults. Great concept by Disney...terrific commercial! I hope you enjoy your planning and have an even better time this year. Betty - You like my long posts? I thought I made them too long so only did it a few times a month lol. Anyway thank you for your kind words. So you like Roses? I love the outdoor ones. What kinds do you grow and what colors? My favorites are those tiny roses that come in really bright fushia or hot pink and they bloom all summer. Tiny tiny ones. My mom got me a nice bush of them that we put in the garden on the hill near the pool. I can float by and keep my eye on them. Beautiful! A friend of mine used to grow long stem roses. She'd only get a few perfect ones but, those were so nice. Yellow was her favorite. I'm with you...not a big fan of Corned Beef and Cabbage. Mandy - Your refrigerator/freezer sounds really nice. I'm with you, I have a spare freezer in my basement so I'd get the bigger fridge too. When I do over my kitchen I'll be headed towards stainless myself...right now I have all black appliances and man oh man with two goldens they get extremely dusty!!! It's aweful! Hope you enjoy it. Glad you're getting the help for your daughter. Hope all goes well with that. Kat - Don't worry I'm here I'm around and kicking. Sorry again about your kitty and congrats on finally getting things settled with the fence dude. How did the new fence come out? Always remember...what goes around comes around so that fence hitter will be seeing something of his getting ruined someday...you'll see. I'm a true believer in Karma and he just set his own up in a bad way. Too funny on the boob lift thing causes you to get face wrinkles. You cracked me up with that...but you also got me thinking haha. I'm going to need some work myself but, I need to lose this last 49 pounds first. Ugh. My DH said anytime you're ready he'll gladly help you with your computer too just give us a call :tea: Eileen - hey buddy.....lets just say my gluggin hasn't been going well although last night and today I'm doing ok. No clue why lol. ummm I have grape coolaid in one hand and Cadbury Mini-Eggs in the other....isn't sounding good is it? But ooooo it is hahaha. (put down the eggs....slowly back away hahaha) I hope you can make your HS thing tonight. We got snow too yesterday. Man did it snow..took me almost 2 hours to get home on a commute that normally takes me 45 minutes. Then the rain after the snow was terrible. Everything is all slushy today and freezing now. What a mess...pretty white but a mess lol. Hope things are going well at work for you and you can get a breather soon. I know ALL too well how that feels to be so busy. Hugs! Bean - How is DH doing today? My DH was pretty sick last week, that's how I caught my cold but, he never had the full blown flu. He had the shivers, fever, sour stomach but didn't heave and a wicked stuffed sinuses and coughing. I do hope your DH feels better soon. Were you able to enjoy the company? Sorry to hear things are changing and hectic at work for you too. I often think I'd like to change jobs too but then again...that's usually on the days someone has really REALLY ticked me off and that takes alot to do. Thankfully it's not too often it happens. I guess I'd love to be a millionaire and just decide what my whim is for the day but, alas I didn't hit the jackpot so I'm back behind my desk Mary - Glad you got your computer fixed. Isn't it frustrating when they don't work right or are soooo slow? I hate it. I'm so impatient when it comes to that stuff. Thankfully I live with a computer geek and I just have to convince him to work on mine when it acts up. Of course sometimes I just have to really get ticked before he'll look at it lol. I'm not a paying customer so I don't rate sometimes hahaha. Depends whats on TV etc lol. Diane - You're up and about so that's great. I hope someday I too can have perky boobies I wouldn't mind 15 year old ones lol. I have to work on a TT first though I think. I don't know if they do both at the same time...I guess it will depend on the doc I pick. I have a ways to go yet soooo I'll just dream about it now. Hope things have slowed down for you at home. Hope you feel even better soon. Darcy - Hey there girlfriend. How are things going? How are you doing with the exercise still? Thank you for PMing me the other day....it really made me smile. Do you enjoy cooking? I seem to like it best in the cooler months. I'm ankering to bake something but, don't know what. Hmmm might have to peek around the web for something different. Have you tried www.cooks.com for recipes? It's awesome! Give it a whirl if you're looking for something different. Well this thing won't go back any further...I hope I caught almost everyone. Ann, Pat, Patty, Crispy...Howdy gals. I miss ya and I hope all is well. Peace Out People! :hippie:

Happy St. Patrick's Day :tea: :high5:  :yuck: All the green I could find in the icons hahaha Well, I'm trying to pay catch-up now. I can't explain where I've been other than being so burnt out from computers that I haven't had the umphff to post. Kinda in a vegetative state after 4pm every day. Lets just say work has been keeping me super busy. (see...I started to type this over two hours ago, someone at the door, stopped to do something then just remembered now I started this WHEW!) I've also been attending a stained glass class with my hubby and a workshop with my friend Donna at night. My Reiki classes and now Healing with Angels classes are very interesting and keeping me spiritually balanced. Definately need that with everything thats going on hahaha. Anyway...no need for monkeys unless they can clean house and chip in at work otherwise please keep em cause my plate is full and trying to take care of them too will justs be too much hahaha. Since I was away for quite a bit between typing. I'll try sending this now then start another for personals. Here goes...

Amount of Liquids at meals
if you're strictly on liquids...why would there be a limit other than making sure you get your protein intake? I was told the first 8 weeks were all about healing so they didn't concentrate on the calories. They told me 60g of protein if I could but it was more important to heal. Try calling your doc/surgeon or nutrionist to get the figures you should watch for. Good luck and welcome to bandland.

Hey everyone...I'm game for getting together again as well. Set it up and I'll get there if I can. I have classes during the week but, if we do a Saturday again that would be cool. We're being hit with NE weather again but, the good stuff is coming. You think we could pick a weekend in April? Mary - If you weren't getting nervous we'd wonder if you were normal We all went through it one time or another before surgery. I remember crying my eyes out two days before wonder what the heck I was about to do to myself. A year later and I'm still happy I did it! Nana how ya feeling? I got your email and you betcha I'll write to ya if a get together is planned and I notice you haven't seen the notice of it Hey Deb...how are things going? Are you getting slammed with now out there in western part of the state?

After my first fill learning that I had to really slow down so I'd know when I was full and chewing well. The next hardest thing.....getting used to the fact that I'm in smaller sizes. it's been so long that it's really hard to believe so i'm constantly picking clothes that are too big for me. Hmmm not such a bad hard thing though heh heh. I'm starting to get used to it but, I still have 50 more to go. I guess being heavy for so long...it's going to take time for my brain to catch up that I'm not so big anymore :success1:

hi from Massachusetts
Welcome and where they give you the fill is called the Port. The port lays under your skin and cannot be seen other than for some people a mall lump...but usually that's AFTER people have lost alot of weight otherwise it's hidden under your fat layers. The port has a tube that's connected to the band that is placed around your stomach. Usually the port is located just below the ribs. Each person is different as far as healing time. I stayed out of work for a week and went back. It still hurt in one area a bit but, it wasn't too bad.

Thanks Mary...I'm trying. It's slowed down quite a bit now but, I didn't think 70 pounds was too bad for a years time. I was hoping to be under 200 but, that didn't happen. I think my body had to adjust to the new weight too and the scale is finally moving again. Where are you having your surgery done? What part of Mass are you from?

UGH....head cold time. DH had been sick for 3 days not looks like I'm headed in the same direction. Got the nice runny nose, scratching throat and roof of my mouth and my ears are getting blocked. YUCK. So already went to the grocery store to make myself some homemade chicken rice Soup. The guys wanted pineapple upside down cake but, not sure I'm up to make that today...we'll see. Got chicken marinating for supper so I'm hoping DH will make that for us :girl_hug: I was freezing earlier today but, it's warm out...now I'm hotter than heck. Fever setting it I think UGH. Beautiful day out there too hard to believe just a few days ago it was -5 degrees here now its over 40 out there almost 50 I think. Well I have to get out of this sweatshirt and into a tshirt for a while. Hope everyone is having a good weekend!
