Hoping for a good recovery!

I just got my approval call today as well! Congrats! I hear you on the long journey part. I started in July of 2016. So happy to be starting the next chapter!

I finally got that call I have been waiting for! After 8 months and 2 denials my insurance approved me for surgery! I will find out my surgery date tomorrow. Let the journey begin!

Hi! I've been going to OWLS since July. They are awesome. I have a particularly picky insurance company and they took about 4 weeks to get back to them. My process is slower than most because at first my insurance said I didn't have to have the 6 mo. Weight management and then when I sent in for final approval they said I did. I have 2 months down and 4 to go. Basically had to start from scratch. BUT it will be worth the wait in the end. Good luck to you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Hi all, Well I've been on this journey since July 5th and I have completed all of the required classes and tests needed for surgery. After waiting 5 weeks for my insurance approval I get a call from my surgeons office that my insurance has denied me because I didn't complete the 6 month supervised weight loss. Now this is upsetting because my insurance provider informed my surgeon in July that I wasn't required to complete this. Now they are saying I do. Ugh! Do I have a case to argue?
