  1. The hernia is a good "surgery" excuse since so many ppl get hernia repair during surgery anyway it's not a lie lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. It's awesome when you have someone in the family who can relate. Two of my aunts have had wls. I'll be telling them. One knows the other I just haven't seen since I decided to do this. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Yes the liquid stage may be difficult to attend functions. However I know last year 2 different cousins had no solid food at Easter dinner bc they were doing that Isagenix stuff. They just had their shakes. So I could just stick to "its my cleanse day" no solids for me as they did. Slim shady awesome post thank you for your feedback. It's in fact the truth that our lifestyle changes this surgery is the tool to get us there. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. This is good advice. I don't drink soda but I'm definitely addicted to my coffee! Thank you! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Hi everyone! Looks like I'm scheduled April 28 for my sleeve. I do not have a pre op diet. My surgeon only requires no eating or drinking before mid night and special instructions if you take medications. I can not have Advil starting now for me as well but Tylenol is ok. 2 weeks before start having lighter meals that's all. I'm reading everyone talk about their liquid diets and wondering if there are people out there who DID NOT have a pre op diet and if you made your own pre op diet or what. 10. Some people hate on what they don't understand and also on what they don't have the courage to do themselves. Most people's judgements come out in cover up of their own insecurities. Take it in stride and go on with your bad self. Lol we got this!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. That's perfect I'm thinking I will also do something of that nature. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Someone posted about starting to amp up their social media pages about dieting and exercising. I'm usually quiet about that stuff when I do it but that might be a good way to keep from the question after we've lost the weight. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I found its best to keep it to myself. I'm already in my own head I don't need anyone else in there. Even the supportive family I've told can make annoying comments. I can't imagine the comments from other ppl. I'm doing this for me. I'm getting in my zone mentally and I can't let anyone else right now. After ward maybe I will feel differently. 14. I plan on bringing shakes and using the liquid diet excuse it's a fad right now anyway. So many people are on this Protein shake cleanse diets. I just got my surgery date and it looks like I'm in for April 28th I'm so excited. 2 weeks after my surgery I am the chaperone for my sons kindergarten class trip to the local zoo. If I seam off or tired while there to the other moms etc I planning on saying I just a hernial repair. Lol idk I'm still in the air with the surgery excuse I'm going to use but I know chances are I'm going to have to say something about having a surgery it just won't be the whole truth again lol. Good luck!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I only told my mom, wife, and best friend. Boom! Love love love it!!! So awesome! And yes SCREW THEM!!! I can already tell you are going to do fantastic! When is your surgery date? Im so excited I can't! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Sleeved 3/29/16. One week ago tomorrow. liquid and Protein intake on target. Zero pain from surgery. I felt soooo good on Saturday that I helped coach my sons lacrosse team. Warning: 5 days on your butt followed by 3 hours on your feet results in a sprained ankle! No joke. It's the only thing keeping me from being 100% back to routine. That's awesome good for you! I'm so happy to hear this. I have 3 small sons to keep up with and they don't stop for anything haha I hope I'll do as great as you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My son is really looking forward to me chaperoning his class trip so I will make it work regardless but I'm happy to hear you did it with no problems.
