  1. Would just like to thank you guys, as usual you were right. Pre-op diet days 1-5 were terrible, getting worse. Day 6 it's like a switch, no more throbbing headaches, no more fatigue, no more brain fog. Wahoo! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  2. Awesome thanks. Just good to know how it was effected in others. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  3. Hi. So I will double check with my surgeon during my pre-op on Monday, but how often should I get my thyroid check after surgery? I have hashimoto's, and get my thyroid checked every 6 months assuming my labs are good and I don't feel a change in symptoms, more often when my TSH are up until they adjust meds and regulate. My question is after surgery will I need to get my thyroid levels checked more often, like after I had my children? Any idea how WLS effects (if at all) thyroid function? I assume my hypothyroid although regulated will slow my weightloss (although I am crossing my fingers I am wrong), any one with experience? Also I take metformin for PCOS not diabetes, they mentioned I might be able to get off it as sometimes PCOS hormones get a little less wacky, anyone experience that? I am not too worried about the metformin except the first week post surgery, just worried Clear liquids and only two or three hundred calories will make me feel pretty crappy on metformin. Again I will ask my surgeon, but anyone with experience? Thanks Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk

  5. Thanks guys, I will keep moving forward. I remember them saying you are tired for a few weeks after the surgery, I didn't remember then saying I would be this tired before. Oh well better to get used to how to get my excercise and life things in now with no energy that have to figure it all out plus heal.
  6. I started my pre-op diet this week, mine does not have to be liquid, although I have been doing one meal as a shake. It's lo/no carb, high Protein, under 1000 cal. Drinking 64-100ounces of Water. No caffeine, but I rarely have caffeine anyway. Anyhow, I have been so tired I can barely get out of bed in the morning even after 9 hours of sleep, and when I do get up I am so tired all day, I can hardly keep my eyes open. Walked on the treadmill a little faster (3.4mph instead of my usually 3.0) yesterday and today hoping that would wake me up. No luck. What can I do to wake myself up? Is my body just going through some kind of carb withdrawal and it will quit soon? My poor house and school work are falling behind because I am going to bed at 8:30 when I get my kids to bed. 7. Congrats. What hospital are you having your surgery at?
  8. I am nervous too, slightly different things, but still nervous. We will be alright. I am not scheduled until the 28th. I may get a lot more freaked out before then. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  9. My GYN/urologist suggested wearing a tampon (OB super) when I work out. Puts pressure on your urethra and can help with exercise incontinence. Just remember ofcourse to remove when your done. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G900A using Tapatalk
  10. I have been eating a ton of raw veggies because it feels like it will be soooo long before I will eat them again.
